Day of Chemistry 2022

The Department of Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University organized the annual Day of Chemistry on May 20, 2022, which was organized by the Institute of Physical Chemistry.

In several short lectures of the doctoral students, highlights of the Aachen chemistry research were presented. In addition, sponsors BASF, Evonik, Grünenthal, MOCOM, Procter & Gamble and Sasol presented various companies and career paths in the industry. This was followed by three lectures “Meet the New Faces” organised by the JungChemikerForum by postdoctoral students of the Chemistry Department. After the presentation, the winner of the “Student award for excellent teaching and supervision” was honoured.

This year, Prof. Walter Richtering received the Student Award for Excellent Teaching and Supervision.

The Day of Chemistry ended with a barbecue party on the forecourt Chemistry.
