Professor Franziska Schoenebeck rewarded with Alexander Todd-Hans Krebs Lectureship in Chemical Sciences

After Professor Franziska Schoenebeck from the Chair of Organic Chemistry I and Institute of Organic Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University already received the prestigious “Elias J. Corey Award” from the American Chemical Society for her outstanding achievements in organic synthesis in March, the scientist is now also being honored with the Todd Krebs Lectureship from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The renowned British professional society is thus recognizing Schoenebeck's outstanding achievements in the field of metal-catalyzed coupling reactions.

In her work, the RWTH chemist combines modern methods of synthetic organic chemistry with computer-aided simulations and mechanistic studies. Her research is considered particularly innovative and pioneering for the development of efficient chemical reactions with a focus on homogeneous metal catalyses

“I am delighted to receive this award – especially on behalf of my entire team, who have contributed their creativity and commitment to our work over many years,”
