Winter semester 2023/2024
- New modules, new assignments to specializations, etc.
- The new module "Nukleinsäuren, Peptide und Proteine: Chemische Biologie und evolutive Methoden" hold by Privatdozent Dr. Matthias Bartneck will be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of MES and SYN and the profile line "Biomolekulare Chemie" beginning in the winter semester 2023/2024.
- The new module "Maschinelles Lernen in den Naturwissenschaften" hold by Professor Maria Fyta will be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of COS and the profile line "Simulation and Data in Chemistry" beginning in the winter semester 2023/2024.
- The new module "X-ray and Neutron Scattering in Material Research" hold by Professor Mirijam Zobel will be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of CAT and MES wird erstmalig im Wintersemester 2023/2024 für die Wahlpflichtbereiche CAT und MES beginning in the winter semester 2023/2024.
- The module "Biomaterials" from Professor Laura De Laporte will also be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of SYN beginning in the summer semester 2023.
- Changes in the process
- The module "Avancierte Koordinationschemie" from Professor Paul Kögerler usually takes place every 2 years. The module will not be hold in winter semester 2023/2024!
- The module "Supramolekulare Anorganische Chemie" from Professor Kögerler usually takes place every 2 years. The module will not be hold in winter semester 2023/2024!
- Discontinued modules
- The module "Biochemie der Signaltransduktion" from Privatdozent Dr. Martha Fabry is no longer offered.
- The module "Phase Transitions in Colloidal System Theory and Experiments" from Dr. Andrea Scotti is no longer offered.
Summer semester 2023
- All combined mandatory examinations are separated according to the 8th amendment of the examination regulations (see "Changes due to the new examination regulations").
- New modules, new assignments to specializations, etc.
- The new module "Chemische Synthese, Modifikationen und therapeutische Steuerung von Nukleinsäuren, Peptiden und Proteinen" from Privatdozent Matthias Bartneck will be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of MES an SYN and the profile line "Biomolekulare Chemie".
- The new module "Vom Photon Spin zur Magnetresonanztomografie / From Photon Spin to Magnetic Resonance Imaging" from Professor Appelt will be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of COS from the summer semester 2023 onwards.
- The module "Biomaterials" from Professor Laura De Laporte will also be offered in the area "Mandatory Elective Courses" of SYN beginning in the summer semester 2023.
- Changes in the process
- The course of the module "Industrial Organic Chemistry" from Dr. Klaus Kunz will be held as a block course during the lecture-free period starting in the summer semester 2023.
- The course for the module "Wirkstoffdesign" from Dr. Sven Kühnert will no longer be held in the summer semester. From the winter semester 2022/2023 onwards, the course will be held as a block course during the lecture-free period of the winter semester.
- Discontinued modules
- The module "Bioorganische Chemie (Nucleinsäuren)" from Professor Elmar Weinhold will be offered for the last time in the summer semester 2023.
- The module "Diffraktionsmethoden zur Strukturanalyse" from Professor Ullrich Englert is no longer offered.
- The module "Introduction to Statistical Mechanics" from Dr. Andrea Scotti will be offered for the last time in the summer semester 2023.
- The module "Proteinchemie" from Privatdozent Dr. Martha Fabry is no longer offered.

- The module "Einzelmolekül- und superauflösende Fluoreszenzmikroskopie" from Professor Wöll has been postponed to the summer semester.
- The module "Mechanismen der molekularen Katalyse" from Professor Klankermayer has been postponed to the summer semester.
- The module "Quantenchemische Simulationsmethoden für große molekulare Systeme" from Professor Bannwarth has been postponed to the summer semester.

- The examination for the mandatory course "Kolloidchemie" from Professor Richtering will be permanently changed to graded homework and an ungraded homework from the summer semester 2022.
The course is renamed to "Colloid Chemistry". - The module "Einzelmolekül- und superauflösende Fluoreszenzmikroskopie" from Professor Wöll has been postponed to the summer semester and will take place in the summer semester 2022.
The type of examination is changed to "presentation". - The module "Mechanismen der molekularen Katalyse" from Professor Klankermayer has been postponed to the summer semester and will take place in the summer semester 2022.
The module ist renamed to "Mechanistic Studies in Molecular Catalysis". - The module "Quantenchemische Simulationsmethoden für große molekulare Systeme" from Professor Bannwarth has been postponed to the summer semester and will take place in the summer semester 2022.

- The module "Mikrowellenspektroskopie" from Professor Stahl will not be hold anymore.
