In the first semester of the bachelor's program in chemistry, the fundamental principles of chemistry are taught in theory and practice. The courses of the module General Chemistry 1 (ALG1) impart basic knowledge in general chemistry, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. Paired with the courses of the module General Chemistry 2 (ALG2) in the second semester, the basis for the entire Bachelor and Master program is laid.
In the modules Mathematics (MAT) and Physics (PHYS), basic knowledge of these areas is taught, which is essential for the study of chemistry.
The first semester is completed with exams for the modules ALG1 and MAT. The PHYS module is continued in the second semester with a lecture and in the third semester with a lab course. At the end of the second semester, an exam will be written about the lectures Physics I and Physics II.
