This year's graduation ceremony took place digitally on June 11, 2021. The graduation ceremony began with an exciting lecture by Dr. Klaus-Dieter Franz on chemistry for energy storage technologies. This was followed by the honoring of the graduates by the chairman of the examination board, Prof. Dr. Paul Kögerler.
This year Prof. Manfred Martin and Prof. Rene M. Königs received the student prize for excellent teaching and supervision.
With the Chemistry Prize, the GDCh local association Aachen honored Mr Nico Linnartz, Mr Marcus Lantzius-Beninga, Mr Martin Schäfer, Mr Tim Schramm, Mr Dennis Milesevic, Ms Lucia Cristina Frohn and Ms Kelly Tran for the excellent bachelor's degrees.
In addition, Ms Lucia Cristina Frohn received the Schöneborn Prize from the proRWTH association, for the best bachelor's degree.
Ms Teresa Karl received the Procter & Gamble Prize for outstanding achievements in the master's degree in chemistry. The prize was awarded by Ms Maike Siemons from Procter & Gamble.
Ms Francesca Plückhahn, Ms Iona Popa, Mr Leander Weinelt, Mr Joseph Görl, Mr Markus Weiß and Mr Hans Jakob Güldenberg received the mentoring prize for supervising the mentoring learning groups of the General Chemistry module.
This year's closing remarks were given by Prof. Dr. Frederic Patureau, who invited to the subsequent exchange in break out sessions.
